Father Ted festival is coming to Australia, Easter weekend 2010 - Parks NSW - www.tedfestoz.org

Tedfest in Ireland has developed into a full cult-status festival, taking place on the Aran Islands and selling out every year. Highlights include the Lovely Ladies Competition and weddings for the loveliest couple, which is undertaken by a Druid priest – who will also travel to Australia to perform the ceremony.

Fr Ted ceased filming over 10 years ago following the death of the lead actor and comedian, Dermot Morgan, however it has had a cult following all over the world ever since and Tedfest was born out of this strong following. It is regularly screened as part of ABC Australia's primetime comedy slots, is continually aired on many international stations, continually sells out in DVD sales, has had millions of YouTube hits, with hundreds of Facebook fan pages and applications.
